Reciprocal peer mentoring
Reciprocal mentoring allows you to have another coach actually listen to you coach a client and give you feedback and coaching in relation to that. In return, you do the same for another coach, listening to a session of theirs and providing feedback and coaching on that.
Reciprocal mentoring gives you the opportunity to gain new perspectives of the same thing. Another coach with different training, expertise and experience coaches differently to you and can help you develop and expand your coaching skills-set.
All you need to do is
look at the mentoring rounds on offer and register for the one that suits your experience level. All mentoring rounds are streamed for experience, so you get mentored by and mentor someone of similar experience.
In this way, learning happens through through the
difference in experience, as opposed to the more traditional expert-novice mentoring relationship that relies on
more/less experience.
When you register for the round, you get the opportunity to tell the ReciproCoach coordinator what kind of mentor you'd like to be matched with, and before it starts, you even get the opportunity to request particular mentors.
The coordinator of your round then matches you with two people: a mentor and a mentee, connects you with them both and makes sure that everyone involved fulfills their end of the bargain.
You pay for the mentoring you receive, by giving mentoring to another coach. This is the reason why ReciproCoach only needs to charge a small fee, reducing the cost of multiple mentoring sessions to much less than the price of one single coaching session!
Some people wonder what the catch is. How can it be so
inexpensive to have so much mentoring? All you need to understand is you're not paying
us to
receive mentoring (you pay for that by
giving mentoring to another coach). Instead, you're just paying
us to hook you up with a mentor and mentee and to make sure you get back what you give (measured in hours).
You can participate as much or as little as you like. With our
annual memberships or pay-as-you-go options, you can be in mentoring four times a year, or once in a blue moon.
